You have a Pelton and Crane OCM or OCR and it
is not working.
The best solution is to complete rebuild it.
When we rebuild this sterilizer we also install automatic shut
off, and venting mechanism.
What this means is that when the timer hits zero, the power
to
the autoclave will be shut off and it will vent automatically.
Because your unit is manual (YOU turn it off, and YOU vent
it), most chambers get warped and develop a pin hole in them
after years of usage.
The P&C OCM or OCR hasn't been in production since 1986.
What this means is that most likely your chamber has a
pin hole in it which causes the steam to escape and thus not
hold pressure or temperature.
Here is what we can do for you: We can pick it up, rebuild it
and ship back to you.
This is what we do to the autocalve when we rebuild it:
Replace all three heaters
Replace filter
Install New Gasket
Rewire the entire sterilizer with temperature
sensitive wire
Upgrade to a larger reservoir (if yours doesn't
have one already)
Install New Temperature and Pressure Gauges
Calibrate for more accurate temperature &
pressure reading
Install 'Over Pressure' Safety Valve
Upgrade to our Automatic Shut Off System
Upgrade to our Automatic Venting System
Upgrade and strengthen the chamber.
Click below the OCM or OCR for the cost (plus freight round trip)
OCM (3 screws on each side)
OCR (4 screws on each side)
However, if this is the only sterilizer you have, we can ship
you an already remanufactured OCM or OCR, and take yours back as an exchange. Your cost is the same.
